These are the four things you do in Kleer as an employee. The rest you can learn when it becomes relevant.

## 1. Report your time every week

A new weekly report is created every Monday. You report hours per day on the projects and activities you have worked on, and **approve** the week when it is finished. Approving it is what lets your manager authorise it.

If you cannot find the project you need to report on, use **Add project** below the table. If it is missing entirely, you are not set up as a project member, and your project manager is the one who fixes that.

See [The time reporting page](/en/tidrapporter/rapportera-tid/tidrapporteringssidan) for how the view works, and [Time reporting for you as a user](/en/tidrapporter/tidrapportering-for-dig-som-anvandare) for the whole picture.

:::tip
Under **More options** you can copy last week, either just the projects or the projects and the hours. If your week looks roughly the same every time, that saves a lot of clicking.

## 2. Add your expenses

Receipts, mileage and per diem are all reported as expenses. Do it as you go rather than in one batch at the end of the month, partly because you still remember what the purchase was for, partly so the expense makes it into that month's salary.

- [Expense reporting](/en/utlagg/hantera-utlagg/utlaggsrapportering) for receipts
- [Mileage allowance](/en/utlagg/hantera-utlagg/milersattning) for trips in your own car
- [Per diem](/en/utlagg/hantera-utlagg/traktamente) for trips with an overnight stay

If you have a company card, the transactions are imported automatically, and your job is to match the receipt to the right transaction. See [Expense reporting with the Kleer card](/en/utlagg/hantera-utlagg/utlaggsrapportering-kleer-kortetmyntkort).

## 3. Check your monthly report

Before payroll is run, you need to read and approve your monthly report. It shows absence, expenses and the time that affects your salary.

This is where you notice if something is missing, and it is considerably easier to correct before the payroll run than after. See [The monthly report](/en/loner/lonerapport/manadsrapporten-for-dig-med-tidrapportering).

## 4. Request leave

Holiday, parental leave and other absence are requested in Kleer, not by email. The request goes to your manager for approval and then ends up in payroll automatically.

See [Leave requests](/en/loner/ledighetsansokan-i-kleer).

## The app

Most of this can be done on your phone. Download **Kleer** from the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android. Photographing the receipt the moment you get it is the single biggest time saver.

## If something looks wrong

- **You cannot log in.** Use Forgot your password on the login page. See [Logging in to Kleer](/installningar/anvandare/inloggning-i-kleer-how-to-log-in-to-kleer), which has an English section below the Swedish one.
- **You do not see what you expect.** Kleer only shows what your permissions allow. If a whole menu is missing, that is the permissions and not a fault. Ask whoever is responsible for finance at your company.
- **You approved the wrong week.** It can be unlocked until your manager has authorised it. If it is already authorised, your manager needs to unlock it.

:::note
If you do not report time on projects, there is a separate version of this page: [Without time reporting: tips for new users](/en/huvudmeny/tips-till-dig-som-ny-anvandare-i-kleer-utan-tidrapportering).
